Nice to meet you!
( About )
As an immigrant from Iran, I have seen first-hand the challenges minority communities face, and utilize my works as a way to improve the conditions in which such identities live in. Whether through expressive art pieces or re-design projects, I value representing the experiences of underserved communities and focus on how to improve them.
( Motivation )
My family and I immigrated from Iran in 2016, so that my older sister and I would have the opportunity to achieve our dreams in a more equitable country. While many obstacles that existed for us in Iran do not here in the United States, minorities still face difficulties achieving dreams that are easily accomplished by others.
Attending a public University in California, I have met so many individuals from diverse backgrounds, influencing me to utilize my creative skills in ways that highlight different life stories. Furthermore, seeing the influence of different public structures on the daily life of people has made me interested in pursuing a career in city planning and institutional architecture.
